Papers Related to 2017 Conference on Nanomaterials Applied to Life Sciences in IEEE Magnetics Letters

You may submit your four-page paper (plus one additional page allowed for acknowledgments and references), whether contributed or invited, for publication in IEEE Magnetics Letters (IML) any time before the conference until 1 February 2018. If you are giving an invited talk, your article should not be a review; rather, it should contain mostly new results, as is appropriate for a letters journal. Templates are available at <>.

The regular editors will manage the review process. If your article is accepted, it will be published on-line, in preprint form, immediately after full peer review and your revisions. Several weeks later, it will appear as fully edited and typeset. Each paper will have its own article number and its own dates of submission and publication. IML is known for providing authors with prompt, helpful reviews. There is no charge for publication.

Published articles will have the heading “Biomagnetics” and a footnote, “Conference on Nanomaterials Applied to Life Sciences, 13-15 December 2017, Gijón, Spain.” Except for the footnote, the format of your article will be indistinguishable from that of any other IML article. It will not be part of a conference proceedings. Each article will be open access for anyone for 10 days after publication. There is no charge for publication.

The URL for article submission is <>.  In Step 1 of the submission process, please select as the Manuscript Type: “Biomagnetics” (or the subject area closest to that of your article). In Step 2, under Conference-Related Articles, please select “NALS – Conference on Nanomaterials Applied to Life Sciences.”

The IML website for published articles is <>. IML is tracked by all major indexing services, including Web of Science and Scopus. The average time from submission to preprint publication is 4 weeks.

Young Researchers

NALS2017 will especially accommodate researchers who are early in their careers and encourage them to become involved in multidisciplinary investigations.

A Young Researchers Networking Event will take place on Wednesday evening (details on this will be posted in October). PhD students, postdoctoral fellows and young researchers are invited to share experiences and exchange contact data in a relaxed ambience.

Senior researchers and companies representatives will be invited to publicize their collaboration or job opportunities and to informally meet potential candidates.

Best Student Communication Awards announcement coming soon!

If you are a student interested in attending NALS2017, you may be eligible to apply for a grant to support the costs of travel and lodging: go to the Students Travel Grant Application Area.
